Hyattsville, Maryland
Professional behind-the-wheel instruction that turns nervous first-time drivers into road-ready, license-holding drivers — with the patience and precision to last a lifetime.
About Us
EQUS Driving School was founded on a simple belief: every driver deserves instruction that is thorough, patient, and tailored to how they actually learn. We are not a drive-through operation.
Located at 1835 University Blvd E in Hyattsville, we serve students across the greater Washington, DC area — from first-time teen drivers to adults who need a fresh start. Our curriculum is built around real road conditions, real decision-making, and the kind of muscle memory that keeps you safe long after your license is in hand.

What We Offer
Designed for teens and first-time drivers. Master vehicle control, traffic laws, and road awareness from the very first lesson — all the way to road test readiness.
Already hold a license? Sharpen your skills, reduce risk, and drive with the kind of situational awareness that separates safe drivers from reactive ones.
Don't walk into your road test unprepared. We coach you through every part of the Maryland licensing exam — parallel parking, lane changes, turns, and intersection navigation.
It is never too late to learn. Our adult beginner program is designed for grown-ups who have never sat behind the wheel — or haven't driven in years. No judgment, just results.
Life is busy. We offer flexible scheduling including weekends and evening hours so you can train on your terms — not on ours.
We provide the training vehicle for your Maryland road test at our Hyattsville location — no need to arrange your own car or worry about a friend's vehicle.
Why EQUS
Our instructors are trained to teach, not just drive. They meet you where you are — whether you are a nervous teen or an adult picking up the wheel for the first time.
Evenings, weekends, and custom time blocks — we work around your schedule, not the other way around. Book lessons when it works for you.
Our students pass because we practice exactly what the Maryland examiner tests. No guesswork. No surprises. Just thorough, focused preparation.
Easy to find off University Boulevard. Central enough for students coming from College Park, Silver Spring, and surrounding communities.
